About
Upper County Steppers
Our Mission
Upper County Steppers, Inc. (UCS) is a charitable, non-profit, multi-cultural, community, performing arts step team organization with a mission to educate diverse audiences and members of the community with regards to the history and art of stepping, who otherwise might not be exposed to this art form. In addition, we strive to achieve the goals of promoting community service, teamwork, unity, discipline, and good sportsmanship within the organization and the surrounding communities we serve, regardless of race, color, creed, or gender, all while providing a creative, artistic outlet for our young people. The diversity of the group reflects the multicultural interests of the community.
Our Organization
UCS is comprised of students who attend various schools in Montgomery County, Maryland. We average about 30 participants throughout the year. Open calls for UCS are held in late January and late August of every year, urging boys and girls, ages 10-18 years old, to come join our team. UCS represents those students who may or may not have an active step team organization at their school.
In addition to step competitions, UCS also performs for many charitable community events throughout Maryland and the Washington DC metro area. If you believe that UCS would be a welcomed addition to your charity, community, or entertainment event or if you are interested in sponsorship, fundraising, or volunteer opportunities, please contact us as soon as possible so we can discuss what UCS can do for you!We look forward to hearing from you soon and thank you for considering UCS!
